How HealthcareMarketResearch handles personal data, and the choices you have under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

In short

We collect only what we need to answer your enquiry and run research you have agreed to take part in. We do not sell personal data. Analytics runs only if you accept it, and you can change that choice on this page at any time.

Who we are

HealthcareMarketResearch is a healthcare and life sciences market research firm based in Pune, Maharashtra, India. For the data described here we act as the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act). Where we run research on behalf of a client, that client may be the Data Fiduciary and we act as a Data Processor under their instructions.

What we collect and why

  • Enquiry details — name, work email, phone number, company and your message, when you submit a form, the chat assistant or contact us on WhatsApp. Used only to respond to your enquiry and to scope the work you asked about.
  • Research participation data — professional details, screening answers and the responses you give in an interview or survey, where you have consented to take part. Reported to clients in de-identified or aggregated form unless you have separately agreed otherwise.
  • Technical data — IP address and request details, processed to keep the site available and to prevent abuse of our forms.
  • Analytics — page views and general usage through Google Analytics 4, only if you accept analytics. IP addresses are anonymised and no advertising or personalisation signals are enabled.

Your consent, and withdrawing it

Analytics is off until you give a clear affirmative consent, and declining costs you nothing — the site works the same either way. You can withdraw or change your choice here, as easily as you gave it:

To withdraw consent for an enquiry or for research participation, email [email protected]. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully before the withdrawal.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may ask us to:

  • confirm what personal data of yours we process, and get a summary of it;
  • correct, complete or update inaccurate data;
  • erase personal data where it is no longer needed for the stated purpose;
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights if you are unable to; and
  • have a grievance addressed by us before escalating it.

Where GDPR or HIPAA applies to a study, the corresponding rights and safeguards under those frameworks apply as well.

Sharing and retention

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run this site and our research — for example our lead management and email providers — under contract and only for those purposes. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.

Enquiry records are kept for as long as we have a live business relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards. Research data is retained under the terms agreed for each study, then deleted or anonymised.

Research conduct and safeguards

Our studies follow the EphMRA, BHBIA and Insights Association codes, including adverse event reporting and off-label rules. Participants are screened for conflicts and confidentiality obligations, transcripts are pseudonymised, and access is limited to the researchers working on the study.

Grievance redressal

For any privacy question, request or complaint, contact our grievance officer at [email protected] or +91 96731 98867. We will acknowledge your request and respond within the period required by the DPDP Act. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
